Update #4 · Latest ·

Added: Feb 24, 2016 9:49 am Here are questions #6 and #7 that were asked by a Vendor and answered by the Customer:

6.)  Will the Department of Air Force be responsible for damages, vandalism and loss of the equipment, due their negligence, during the term of rental? Section 5.1 on page 6, was unclear.

Answer:  Yes

7.)  Upon return of the equipment, will the generators be returned to the vendor with a full fuel tank?

Answer:  Yes, that can be arranged as long as the Vendor specifies that on their proposal.

Update #3 ·

Added: Feb 23, 2016 12:17 pm Here is question #5 that was asked by a Vendor and answered by the Customer:

5.)  In the SOW 1.1 states to provide six (6) 19-29 Kilovolt amperes generators.  Under Generator requirements lines 2.2.2. it states a minimum of 6,500 watts of single phase, 30-amps electricity. Everything else I see leads me to believe these are Towable Diesel 25 KVA Generators.  I just want to make sure you are not looking for a smaller unit than this?

Answer:  The most important thing is that the generators be capable of running 24/7.  While 6500W is the minimum requirement for our shacks, I have yet to find a generator that small that can also be run for more than a few hours at a time.  The 25KVA generators are capable of running 24/7, so that is what we are looking to rent.

Update #2 ·

Added: Feb 22, 2016 11:45 am HERE ARE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS RELATING TO THIS SOLICITATION:

1.) Are these generators going to be running continuously from NTP -delivery until 31/Aug/2016?

Answer: Yes, they will run 24/7 as weather situations dictate the need for either heat or a/c.

2.) The run hours are required to quote the 250hr. service accurately?

Answer:  By running up to 24-hours a day, possible everyday, we anticipate the required service would take place roughly every 10-days to 2-weeks.

3.) Will all generators be run the same number of hours , thus allowing one service trip to perform 250 hr service in one day?

Answer:  For the most part, the generators will run the same number of hours, so the 250-hour service should be taking place at the same time.

4.) Are ground rods & wire required of GFE?

Answer:  Yes we would prefer that the company provide a ground rod and wire for each generator.
