About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure voltage regulators (NSN 7H-6110-013552934) for repair and modification purposes. The solicitation involves six units to be delivered to two separate DLA Distribution locations in New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. The government intends to add an option quantity to the resultant contract, allowing potential increases in supply quantities at the same unit price. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the contract will be negotiated under FAR 6.302-1, which suggests a potential sole-source procurement. The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, and interested parties have 15 days from the notice date to express their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item.

The opportunity is set aside for total small business participation and involves electrical control equipment (PSC 6110). The contract may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and includes provisions for potential Buy American Act considerations. While specific award values are not disclosed, the solicitation allows for an option to increase quantities within 365 days of the award date. The government will deliver the added items at the same rate as the original contract terms, pending mutual agreement. Potential contractors can obtain relevant specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, with documents primarily available in Adobe PDF format through ASSIST-Online. Interested parties can access documents via internet download, DODSSP website ordering, or by contacting the ASSIST Help Desk directly.
