Update #1 ·

This is a notice of intent to issue an award on the basis of other than full and open competition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106(b) where only one source is reasonably available to provide the research and development services.  The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a single source award on behalf of the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) to FD Neurotechnologies Consulting and Services located at 9115 Guilford Road, Suite 100, Columbia, Maryland 21046-2597.  The total anticipated award value is $112,978.00 for a twelve-month base period and two twelve-month option periods.

The requirement is for the sectioning and staining of 55 rodent brains using FD Neurotechnoloies' stain and proprietary process.  This is a sole source as this is a follow-on to W81XWH-15-D-0044 for consistency in the results of the slides.
