The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Plant Protection, and Quarantine (PPQ) will soon have a requirement for diagnostic laboratory services, specifically, testing for the presence of plum pox virus (PPV) in prunus leaf samples by using the ELISA technique. Samples would come from New York State.
