About this opportunity

This solicitation is for an Integrated Resource Service Contract to perform land management activities on the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho Roosevelt National Forest. The USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Region seeks to improve forest health and utilize timber resources through stand cleaning, thinning, mechanical fuels reduction, snag and down wood management, and removal of timber and other products. Offerors must propose on mandatory work activities and have the option to propose on additional work. Proposals will be evaluated based on work activities and product pricing. The deadline for proposals is February 28, 2020.

AMENDMENT 1: The purpose of the "Pre-Bid/Pre-Proposal Conference" is to review the project requirements and answer any questions. We will NOT be going to the project site due to ground conditions.

Description of Work— The Pearl Cache IRSC is part of the Deadman 1 project, located on the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho Roosevelt National Forest approximately 60 miles west of Fort Collins, Colorado.  Land management objectives for the project area are summarized as follows:

  1. Improve Forest Health – Provide growing space for healthy trees and reduce fuel loadings
  2. Utilize Timber or other products – Provide wood resource to forest product industry.

To accomplish these objectives, the contract includes the following components: stand cleaning/thinning, mechanical fuels reduction, snag and down wood management, and removal of Timber or Other Products.

THE PURPOSE OF THE "SITE VISIT" IS TO REVIEW THE PROJECT REQUIREMENTS AND ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. WE WILL NOT BE GOING TO THE PROJECT SITE DUE TO GROUND CONDITIONS.
