Notice text

The Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), intends to solicit and award a Purchase Order to PayneGroup, 1218 3rd Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The EOUSA anticipates award of a Purchase Order, on a sole source basis, to PayneGroup for Metadata Assistant Software and Maintenance in EOUSA headquarters and its 94 districts. The United States Attorneys' Offices (USAOs) create a tremendous amount of documents each year. USAO employees send documents they create and receive to others in a variety of ways, including via email. In certain contexts, USAOs need (or desire) to remove metadata from documents before sending or providing them to others.
EOUSA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) has deployed PayneGroup Metadata Assistant to the entire USAO community. USAO personnel regularly use PayneGroup Metadata Assistant to remove metadata from common productivity files before filing them with courts or sending them to outside parties. Indeed, USAO personnel have successfully used PayneGroup Metadata Assistant for several years to meet their metadata removal needs in numerous situations. The USAOs requires annual PayneGroup Metadata Assistant software maintenance to ensure that they have access to software updates and support. The period of performance is anticipated to twelve months and four one year option periods (total 60 months).
