About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, SC is seeking to procure two outdoor walk-in freezer/refrigerator units through a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under solicitation number M0026325Q0011. The procurement is structured as a Firm Fixed Price contract for commercial supplies, with specific technical requirements including a 54-inch upgraded door, vinyl swinging door, 60-inch steel exterior door ramp, and various specialized features like LED lighting, pallet bumper guards, and an anti-microbial finish. The government will evaluate quotes using a comparative assessment method that first eliminates unacceptable quotations, then arranges remaining quotes from lowest to highest price, with a focus on determining the most advantageous offer based on price and non-price factors. Vendor questions must be submitted within two days of the solicitation issue date, with the final deadline for quote submissions set for March 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST. The primary point of contact is Andrea Learn, who can be reached at 843-228-3813.
The solicitation is designated as a 100% Small Business set-aside under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 333415, with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The units will be installed at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Beaufort, SC 29905, with specific requirements for placement on prepared concrete slabs and requiring a three-phase electrical box to be installed prior to delivery. The walk-in units are specified to have approximately 250 square feet of interior space, with temperature capabilities ranging from 0°F to 35°F, accommodating both freezer and cooler functions. The exterior of the units will be painted in Dunes Tan, and the vendor will be responsible for off-loading and placing the units at the delivery location. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement emphasizes the need for a comprehensive solution that includes both the equipment and installation services, with a focus on meeting the Marine Corps' specific operational requirements.
