The contract, identified as NTX Replacement of Steam Coils, is focused on comprehensive HVAC work, specifically targeting ductwork replacement in Building 9. This opportunity is designated as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside, indicating a preference for contractors meeting specific ownership criteria. The solicitation was originally posted on April 28, 2025, with subsequent amendments extending the response deadline and providing additional clarification. Two amendments have been issued to date, with the most recent (Amendment 0002) addressing contractor questions and providing supplementary project information.
Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit their response by May 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM CDT, with several critical requirements to consider. The project involves replacing ductwork, working during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 0800-1700), and operating in a partially occupied building where staff may be relocated. Contractors must submit a comprehensive Lift/Crane Plan 14 days prior to use, including detailed documentation such as operator certifications, crane inspection details, and a hazardous analysis report. While no specific thermostat or BACNet capabilities are required, contractors must be prepared to work around existing infrastructure, including pre-existing gas lines. The contract falls under the NAICS category 238220 for Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, and PSC category J045 for maintenance and repair of plumbing and heating equipment.
