About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, acting on behalf of the Air Force Sustainment Center, is conducting market research to identify potential manufacturers of vibrator ignition coils for the TF33 platform, part number 10-614500-1 (NSN 2925-01-421-7473RV). This is a Sources Sought Synopsis intended to determine the optimal acquisition strategy and whether the requirement can be pursued competitively or as a small business set-aside. Prospective manufacturers must be capable of furnishing all labor, materials, facilities, and equipment for new manufacture of the ignition coils, including component procurement, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping, and may be required to complete a Source Approval Request package and assume nonrecurring engineering costs. The government is interested in all business types, including small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, 8(a) certified businesses, HUBZone businesses, and women-owned small businesses. Responses must be submitted by January 30, 2026, to 421scms.requirements.workflow@us.af.mil, and Source Approval Request submissions should be directed to 429SCMS.SASPO.Workflow@us.af.mil and stacy.cochran@us.af.mil via DoD SAFE.
This pre-solicitation notice does not utilize a set-aside designation, and no current contractors or incumbents are identified in the available documentation. The estimated spares requirement totals 37 units, classified under Federal Stock Class 2925 with a corresponding NAICS Code 336412 (manufacture of aircraft parts and components) and a size standard of 1,500 employees. No specific award value or budget range is provided in this market research phase, as no funds are currently available and responses will be used to determine the acquisition strategy moving forward. The place of performance is identified as Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Interested vendors must select the "Add Me to Interested Vendors" button to participate in the market research effort.
