About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation, in conjunction with the 422nd Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker AFB, plans to add fifteen National Stock Numbers (NSNs) to the existing Constant Speed Drive (CSD) Engineering Sustainment Support Contract. The contract will focus on engineering support for various electrical components critical to aircraft power systems, including generator controls, voltage regulators, and power distribution panels. The procurement is a sole-source contract awarded to Hamilton Sundstrand, based on the company's unique technical expertise and ownership of proprietary technical data. The government cannot compete this engineering support due to the specialized nature of the components and the requirement for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) knowledge. Key contract objectives include technical order updates, obsolescence analysis, technical inquiry support, and other engineering tasks as defined by the government's needs.

The contract opportunity is not set aside for any specific business category and was originally awarded using Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures. Hamilton Sundstrand, with CAGE code 73030, is the sole source contractor for these fifteen NSNs, which are all exclusively provided by the OEM. The contract is expected to add these NSNs by May 15, 2025, with a contract duration extending through April 30, 2028. While no specific award value is mentioned, the contract covers a range of engineering support services for critical aircraft electrical components. Potential offerors seeking more information can contact the Acquisition Specialist, Mrs. Valerie Skeen, via email at Valerie.Skeen@dla.mil or by phone at (445) 737-5047. The NAICS code for this opportunity is 336413, categorized under Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing.
