About this opportunity
The Internal Revenue Service published a Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice on July 23, 2020 to award a bridge contract to Thomson Reuters-Westlaw for the continuance of Comprehensive Research Services for up to 20,000 users. The six-month bridge contract, with a period of performance from the date of award through January 2021, was justified based on the adverse impact a lapse in electronic research services would have on the IRS's ability to serve taxpayers during the resolution of a GAO protest related to the prior competitive award that is currently under protest. Contract 2032H8-20-C-00031 was awarded to Thomson Reuters-Westlaw for an anticipated fair and reasonable price based on the previous competitive award that is currently under protest.
Notice text
The proposed sole source acquisition is to award a bridge contract for six months to provide for the continuance of services while the GAO protest and transition process is complete. The required services are for electronic research services, specifically Comprehensive Research Services. The period of performance will be for three (3) months with three (3) one-month options starting from the date of award through January 2021.
Awarded contract 2032H8-20-C-00031 to unknown vendor for unknown amount on 2020-07-22.
