About this opportunity

The Natural Resources Conservation Service seeks contractors to collect rangeland data on approximately 1,239 sample points across six counties in northern Nevada as part of the National Resources Inventory grazingland field study. Contractors must collect soil, landscape, ecological site, rangeland health, plant composition, and production data and upload it to the required database by September 25, 2020. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and provides the best value based on technical approach, past performance, and price. Proposals are due by March 23, 2020.

This requirement has a total small business set-aside designation under NAICS code 541990 with a size standard of average annual receipts of $14 million. The place of performance is Reno, Nevada, and contractors will collect data from April 2020 through September 2022, with 1,239 sample points to be completed over the three-year contract period. The total contract value will depend on the number of points accepted by the government but historical data suggests at least 1,000 points may be collected each year.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture, is seeking contractor(s) to provide services for the collection of rangeland data on selected sample points for the National Resources Inventory (NRI), Rangeland Field Study in Nevada. The intent of the Agency is to solicit the most efficient and effective manner to complete the requirements set forth in this document.  To achieve this goal, NRCS reserves the right to make award without negotiations. 

Amendment 1: This amendment clarifies the discrepancies in Section F of Attachment 1 (Statement of Work) in the number of points that are required to be collected in fiscal year 20. This amendment attaches the track changes version of attachment one for easy identification of the changes, this amendment includes the track changes version of the corrected Attachment 1 and it replaces any prior versions of Attachment 1 with the current and fully updated version.
