About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is preparing to solicit an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for non-aircraft engine turbo superchargers, specifically for Navy Expeditionary Programs. The procurement will focus on NSN 2950-01-574-8044, with parts manufactured by Caterpillar Inc. under part numbers 10R-9580 and 569-6097. This will be an unrestricted procurement, meaning full and open competition is anticipated. The solicitation will be available on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) on or about June 20, 2025, with a proposal due date of July 21, 2025. Potential vendors will need to download the PDF solicitation from the specified website and ensure they have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
The contract will have a base period of 5 years with zero option periods and an estimated annual quantity of 48 units. Delivery is specified as 80 days after the date of order, with inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination and FOB terms set at origin. The procurement falls under NAICS category 336412 for Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing, with a Product Service Code (PSC) of 2950 for Turbosupercharger and Components. While there are no specific set-aside designations mentioned, the contract appears targeted at manufacturers capable of producing specialized turbo supercharger components for military applications. The estimated contract value is not explicitly stated, but the annual quantity and multi-year duration suggest a significant procurement opportunity for qualified manufacturers.
