About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 16 Multi Function DSPL (Display) units with a National Stock Number 7H-1260-015388873-A5, specifically for repair and modification. The proposed contract will be negotiated under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for single-source procurement when competitive bidding is not feasible. The government has determined that obtaining data rights or reverse engineering the part would be uneconomical. Interested parties may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the pre-solicitation notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). Vendors can access relevant technical documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point's Document Automation and Production Service, primarily using the ASSIST-Online platform.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside category for this procurement, meaning it is open to all qualified vendors. The contract involves a Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 007, with delivery specified as FOB Origin. While no specific budget range is disclosed, the procurement is focused on a precise quantity of 16 equipment units. The government will evaluate submissions based on the vendor's capability to satisfy the technical requirements, with the ultimate selection process remaining at the government's discretion. Interested parties have 15 days to identify potential commercial item solutions, and the Naval Supply Systems Command will conduct market research to determine the most appropriate procurement approach for these specialized display units.
