The government may award one or two resulting firm-fixed price (FFP) contracts. The contract term will be a base period of 12 months with no option periods. Intent is to award to the responsible offeror(s) whose proposal, conforming to the RFP, will be most advantageous to the Government resulting in the best value, price and non-price factors considered using a trade-off source selection process. Technical capability is more important than price. Offerors are advised award may be made without discussions. Therefore, Offerors should submit proposals which contain their best terms.
The procurement is to provide medical waste disposal for both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. A request for information (RFI)/sources sought notice was previously published on FBO under 2018-20338.
THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE OFFERED IN ELECTRONIC FORMAT ONLY. NO
HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. Offerors must also be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM in order to participate in this procurement.

This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to provide the pre-solicitation notice required by FAR 5.2- Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions in preparation for release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) at a later date.
The RFP is planned to be issued in July 2018. The Proposal due date is tentatively planned for August 30, 2018. The planned procurement method is contracting by negotiation. The solicitation utilizes source selection procedures, which require Offerors to submit a technical proposal that includes past performance, experience information, and a price proposal for evaluation by the Government.
