About this opportunity

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to negotiate a sole source license renewal with Gladiator Forensics LLC, located in Melbourne, Florida. The notice was posted on June 5, 2025, with a closing date of June 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST. This acquisition will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13, with the NAICS Code 334290. The DEA is specifically seeking to renew licenses through a firm-fixed price purchase order. While the notice indicates a sole source approach, the agency allows vendors who believe they can meet the government's requirements to submit a capability statement for consideration.

Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit their capability statements electronically to Sonya.L.Maxwell@dea.gov by the specified deadline. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to open the requirement to competition based on received capability statements. This is not a competitive quotation request, and no Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be made available. Potential vendors should note that the Justification for Sole Source will be posted 14 days after the award is made. Eligibility appears open to vendors who can demonstrate the ability to provide the required license renewals, with Gladiator Forensics LLC currently being the primary consideration. The notice emphasizes that the government's decision to proceed with the current vendor is at its complete discretion, and submission of a capability statement does not guarantee competitive consideration.
