About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Omaha is seeking a lease for approximately 780 square feet of office space in Fremont, Nebraska. The current lease is expiring, and the government is evaluating alternative space options based on economic advantages and operational requirements. Key evaluation criteria will include consideration of potential space availability, janitorial services, relocation costs, tenant improvements, telecommunication infrastructure, and potential agency downtime. The solicitation was posted on January 13, 2025, with proposals due by January 18, 2025. The procurement is categorized under NAICS 531120 for Lessors of Nonresidential Buildings and falls under the PSC category X1PZ for lease/rental of non-building facilities.

The solicitation does not have a specific set-aside designation, indicating it is open to all qualified vendors. The place of performance is specified as Inglewood, NE 68025, which differs slightly from the initial mention of Fremont, NE. While no specific budget range or award value is provided in the notice, the government's primary objective is to secure an economically advantageous office space that meets their operational needs. The contract appears to be focused on finding a suitable replacement for an expiring lease, with emphasis on minimizing disruption and additional costs associated with relocation. The solicitation suggests the government will comprehensively evaluate potential spaces, considering not just rental costs but also the broader financial and operational implications of changing locations.

Notice text

The US Government currently occupies office and related space in a building under lease in Fremont, NE that will be expiring.  The Government is considering alternate space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, janitorial services provided in the lease, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
