The Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, services, facilities, and materials needed to properly design, fabricate, and install interpretive panels, exhibits, and related framing/mounting systems.

a. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Project Lead (for a specific task order) to maintain quality workmanship; create a project timeline; acquire reference materials; get approval at the appropriate stages of interpretive panel and exhibit design, fabrication, and installation; coordinate schedules; and complete other aspects of the project work.

b. The Contractor shall conduct the necessary research for all design, fabrication, and installation services.

c. The Contractor shall employ the latest and most suitable technology in the design, fabrication, and installation of all interpretive panels, exhibits, and related framing/mounting systems.

i. The interpretive panels, exhibits, and diorama mounting systems should match and/or complement each other.

ii. If current exhibits exist on-site, new exhibits should match and/or complement the existing interpretive panels and exhibits.

d. For interpretive panel projects, the Contractor shall complete on-site installation of the framing/mounting system, provide framing/mounting systems in kit form with instructions for assembly by Service staff, or provide instructions for installation by Service staff. Each Task Order Project Description will specify if installation will be required by the Contractor or performed by Service staff.

e. All exhibits will combine both two- and three-dimensional components to enhance the sequence of viewing the various exhibit elements without interrupting visitor flow and movement in the area.

f. For exhibit projects, the Contractor shall complete on-site installation of the exhibits in most instances. In some cases, the Contractor shall provide exhibits in kit form with instructions for assembly by Service staff. Each Task Order Project Description will specify if installation will be required by the Contractor or performed by Service staff.
