About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command's Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center is seeking qualified sources to provide HPAC Motor Shafts through a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The procurement requires all new parts with no refurbished or used components accepted, and responses must demonstrate capability to provide the motor shafts as specified in the attached Statement of Work. This commercial item acquisition falls under NAICS code 333912 (Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing) and PSC code 4310 (Compressors And Vacuum Pumps), indicating the technical nature of the required components. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses effective through FAC 2025-06 and DFARS Change Notice 20250910, establishing the regulatory framework for evaluation and award. Interested vendors must submit responses by October 22, 2025, providing only seven days from the posting date of October 15, 2025, for proposal preparation and submission.

This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under RFQ number N5005426Q0008, restricting competition to qualified small business concerns. The solicitation notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide specific award values, quantities, or performance timelines beyond the requirement for new motor shaft components. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, with all procurement documentation accessible exclusively through the System for Award Management at sam.gov and the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment at piee.eb.mil. The place of performance and specific delivery requirements would be detailed in the Statement of Work attachment referenced in the solicitation. The expedited timeline and commercial item designation suggest this procurement addresses an immediate operational need for the Navy's maintenance operations.
