About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking qualified sources to provide Hex Bolts through a combined synopsis/solicitation under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation, identified by RFQ number N5005425Q0305, requires suppliers to provide new bolts as specified in the attached Statement of Work, with no refurbished or used parts permitted. This procurement will be conducted through the System for Award Management (SAM) and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), with responses due by May 23, 2025. The solicitation follows Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 guidelines and incorporates provisions and clauses through FAC 2025-04 and DFARS Change notice 20241218. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the notice, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) will assess responses from qualified sources in the Bolt, Nut, Screw, Rivet, and Washer Manufacturing sector (NAICS 332722).
The contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, which means only small businesses are eligible to compete for this procurement. The solicitation is specifically for PSC Category 5306 (Bolts), indicating a focused procurement of hex bolt hardware. No specific incumbent contractors or precise award values are mentioned in the notice. The place of performance will likely be within the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center's jurisdiction, given MARMC's role in issuing the solicitation. Potential suppliers should note that the entire solicitation is being conducted electronically, with no paper copies available, and all documentation will be posted online through SAM and PIEE platforms. Interested small businesses in the bolt manufacturing sector should carefully review the Statement of Work and ensure they can meet the requirement of providing only new, unused bolts for potential contract award.
