About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is soliciting proposals for the repair and contract quality requirements associated with a Generator Control Unit, Part Number 21878-3-B (Serial Number: 078C-2118). This fixed-price contract falls under the Motor and Generator Manufacturing NAICS category (335312) and Electrical Control Equipment PSC category (6110). The solicitation includes multiple contractual clauses and requirements covering cost or pricing data, small business subcontracting plans, Buy American compliance, transportation of supplies by sea, and safeguarding of sensitive conventional arms, ammunition, and explosives. The contract will be evaluated based on proposals submitted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation standards, with emphasis on unit price integrity and delivery schedules. The proposal submission deadline is November 28, 2025, and potential offerors should note that faxed proposals will not be accepted and should propose their best delivery schedule.

This solicitation carries no small business set-aside designation, meaning it is open to all qualified contractors. The contract is structured as a firm-fixed-price (FFP) award with provisions for options on increased quantity and is subject to priority rating requirements for national defense and emergency preparedness purposes. The item supports multiple CASREP (Casualty Report) requirements, indicating urgent operational needs within the Navy fleet. While specific award values and quantities are not detailed in the solicitation notice provided, the posting date of October 29, 2025, and 30-day response window suggest a standard procurement timeline. Performance location and specific quantity details appear to be defined in the complete schedule section referenced as "See Schedule" within the contractual documents.
