About this opportunity

The Naval Supply Systems Command, Department of the Navy, has issued a Special Notice for the procurement of 70 units of generators (NSN 6115 014632103). This acquisition involves alternating current generators that will be delivered FOB Origin to the government. The notice was posted on September 12, 2025, with a response deadline of September 29, 2025. The procurement falls under NAICS code 335312 (Motor and Generator Manufacturing) and PSC category 6115 (Generators And Generator Sets, Electrical). No set-aside designation has been applied to this opportunity.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform potential contractors about the generator procurement opportunity and provide essential guidance for participation. Interested parties can obtain relevant military specifications, standards, and documentation through the Defense Standardization Program Automation Office in Philadelphia or via the ASSIST database at specified URLs. All suppliers are eligible to submit offers, which must be presented in English and U.S. dollars, with some items potentially subject to Trade Agreements Act provisions. The government has determined that it does not own the data rights for this equipment and that acquiring such rights or reverse engineering would be uneconomical. Contractors should note that certain technical documents like patterns and drawings are not available through standard channels, and market research indicates the government will not be using Part 12 acquisition policies for this procurement.
