Update #2 · Latest ·
The purpose of this amendment is to anounce the government's intent to add a 6-month option period.
Update #1 ·
NOTICE OF INTENT
Food services are currently being provided in support of 802d Force Support Squadron (FSS) through existing contract FA3016-17-C0049. The performance period under the existing contract will expire on 31 March 2018. Therefore the 502d Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source follow-on Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) bridge contract for a 6-month period for continuing full food service at JBSA Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis. The contract will be awarded to the incumbent prime contractor, Texas Workforce Commission, 101 E. 15th St, Austin, TX 78701. Cantu Services, Inc., a small business, will perform 100% of the work. This bridge contract will provide continuity of services while the US Court of Federal Claims resolves an existing protest appeal. Due to the nature of this requirement, the impracticality and substantial costs that the Government would incur and not recover through competition; this bridge will be procured on a sole source basis IAW FAR Part 6.302-1. Under the proposed contract, 502 CONS/JBKBB will solicit and award a follow-on 6-month contract using combined procedures contained within FAR Parts 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, 15 - Contract by Negotiations, and 37 - Service Contracting.
This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of market research due to an existing source selection in progress. Responses to a request for information are for the 6-month full food service bridge with a period of performance of 1 April 18 to 30 September 2018. Interested companies may identify their interest in satisfying the Government's needs. Responses to this notice should include: 1) Company size in relation to the applicable North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) 722310/$38.5M; 2) Your Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code; 3) The socioeconomic status of the company, i.e., small business concern, 8(a) business, HUB Zone small business, small disadvantaged business, woman-owned small business, veteran owned small business, or Service disabled veteran owned small business; and 4) Point of Contact information to include name, email address and telephone number.
Responses to this notice should be e-mailed to the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer.
