Update #8 ·
The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions received from vendors:
Question:
Can you please provide a Manufacturer of the Universal Caps that is shown in Details 6, 7,& 8 on Sheet AE501
Answer:
Per the specification section 097700, the basis of design manufacturer for the Universal Caps and Z clips, shown in Details 6, 7,& 8 on Sheet AE501, is Wall Panel Systems Inc. (http://wallpanelsystems.net/Three_Eighths_Inch_Universal_Architectural_System.html).
Question:
#1) E101, Detail 1;
In Toilet Rm. 2 there are two ‘FA’ lights shown on the wall by the sink. Detail 2/AE302 confirms there are two lights in this location. These fixtures are not specified in Section 265000. There is a wall mounted bath light (Type LH) in this section but not shown on the plans. Please clarify.
Answer:
Section 265000 will be updated in addendum to include a description of fixture type FA, and remove the fixture LH. Generally, the basis of design for fixture type FA is Tech Lighting, L.L.C. model: 600LNDWFS-CF.
If addendum 2 does not post, please contact the contract specialist, Allison Dubin, at Allison.Dubin@gsa.gov or the contracting officer, Katie Wheeler at Katherine.Wheeler@gsa.gov, to receive a copy.

Question received:
Question Specification Section 102220
Demountable Partitions Specification Section 012300
Alternates Drawings AE-101, AE-401
Both the drawings and specifications call out for Alternate Work Pricing for the Modular Wall System/ Demountable partitions. After our onsite walkthrough it was mentioned that this alternate work will now be included as part of the Base Bid Pricing. This will eliminate the need for stick built walls as mentioned in Section 0123300 Part 3.1 Schedule of Alternates.
Answer:
The approximately 39 linear feet of demountable partitions shown on AE401, and specified in Section 102220 should be considered part of the base bid, with no alternate work.
Section 012300 should be understood to be omitted from the construction documents; this will be revised in an upcoming addendum.
The title of drawing AE401 should be understood to be revised to be "MODULAR WALL SYSTEMS"; this will be revised in an upcoming addendum.
Contact contract specialist or contracting officer if you need a copy of the addendum, document is labeled Addendum #1.
Bid opening is on March 30 at 2:30 pm. Please contact the contract specialist if you or your representative is planning on attending.
