About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a FLAP ASSY (aircraft flap assembly) through this solicitation for the aircraft parts manufacturing sector. The contract opportunity, identified by the unique ID 9bfc326b653a45b6a5b3ae612c0cdf9f, is classified under NAICS category 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. Key contract requirements include compliance with MIL-STD-130 for markings and MIL-STD 2073 for packaging standards. The solicitation was posted on January 23, 2025, with proposals due by February 24, 2025, and allows for early and incremental deliveries. Contractors will be evaluated based on their ability to meet Rapid Turn Around Time (RTAT) requirements, with pricing contingent on meeting specified performance standards.
The solicitation does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, meaning the opportunity is open to all qualified contractors. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the contract involves manufacturing aircraft flap assemblies with a 365-day warranty period after delivery. The place of performance is not directly specified, but the contracting agency is the Naval Supply Systems Command. Contractors will be expected to provide units that meet precise military specifications, with potential price adjustments if RTAT requirements are not met. The procurement process allows for electronic submission and considers contractual documents "issued" when deposited in mail, transmitted by facsimile, or sent through electronic commerce methods. Contact for additional information is Kathryn Elechko, reachable at kathryn.elechko.civ@us.navy.mil or 215-697-2782.
