The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Portland, OR, has a requirement to supply various types of fish food to National Fish Hatcheries in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, and Nevada, in accordance with solicitation specifications, terms, and conditions. Multiple Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity contracts for a base and four option years will be awarded to supply the specified fish food. Base contract period is estimated to be from on or about December 1, 2012 through November 30, 2013. Feed types include Pacific Salmon Semi-Moist Fish Food, Abernathy Dry Diet, Steelhead Floating/Hagerman Fish Food, Dry/Extruded Fish Food, and Dry Steam Pelleted Fish Food. Prices shall be quoted FOB Destination to the various locations. This is a best value procurement with award based on past performance/experience with similar requirements, and price. Contractors awarded a contract will be required to furnish a quality assurance/quality control plan within 15 days of award. Solicitation will be posted Nov 7 and will be available for 21 days, Request for Information (RFI) should be sent to Josh_Gordon@fws.gov, all RFI's will be due 7 days prior to closing date, so an amendment can be issued addressing any questions.
Any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. SAM is a federal Government owned and operated free website that consolidates the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), and the Excluded Parties List Systems (EPLS). Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirement via the SAM website accessed through https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM.
