About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is procuring vehicular final drives (NSN 2520-01-633-2049, MFPN 12542293) under solicitation SPRDL1-25-R-0092 through a firm fixed-price contract structure. This five-year long-term contract requires vendors to supply between a minimum of 25 and maximum of 731 final drive units, with an expected first order quantity of 202 units. Key contract requirements include mandatory First Article Testing (FAT) with potential waiver available upon request, adherence to higher-level contract quality standards per clause 52.246-11, compliance with MIL STD-1916, and requirements for pretreatment and CARC painting of materials. Contractors must obtain certification under the United States/Canada Joint Certification Program to access technical data packages, and the solicitation emphasizes range pricing evaluation criteria. The proposal submission deadline is October 31, 2025, with delivery timelines of 630 days if FAT is required or 240 days if waived.

Originally structured as a 100% small business set-aside, the solicitation was modified through Amendment 0005 to allow full and open competition, enabling both large and small businesses to compete. No incumbent contractors are specifically identified in the solicitation documentation. While exact contract values are not disclosed, the procurement involves substantial quantities with an estimated total of 686 final drives distributed across five ordering years, suggesting a multi-million dollar opportunity given the complexity of vehicular transmission components. The contract guarantees a minimum quantity of 25 units with delivery FOB Origin, and performance will occur within the Continental United States (CONUS). Delivery destination is specified as DLA Distribution Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, Texas, establishing the primary fulfillment location for this critical military vehicle component procurement.
