Update #1 ·

Added: Aug 14, 2008 11:05 am THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. FEMA anticipates issuing the RFP on or around 15 September 2008. Emails and phone calls will not be answered prior to the issuance of the RFP.

FEMA is contemplating establishing multiple award firm fixed-price (FFP) IDIQ contracts with contractors that are able to provide and deliver wireless telecommunications services and equipment including but not limited to wireless voice and data airtime, devices, activations, account management, and lifecycle support for cellular phones, pagers, air cards, and wireless handheld multifunctional devices within and outside the continental United States. FEMA recognizes wireless services and commodities are technologically dynamic commodities. The purpose of these contracts will be to provide technologically effective, commercially advanced and cost effective wireless telecommunications solutions to support the mission of FEMA, which is charged with the centralized direction of emergency management. It is expected the solution will continue to reflect the changing technology where appropriate and beneficial to meet the FEMA mission.
