Notice text
Notice of Intent to extend the contract period of performance from 3//27-9/26/15 for operation and maintenance of the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center (TSC). This synopsis provides notification of the FBI's intent to extend contract J-FBI-12-254 which was awarded on 9/27/12. The extension will be performed by the incumbent contractor DTZ Secure Services, 901 N. Pitt Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. The requirement to provide maintenance and support personnel for the facility, inclusive of mission critical systems, is critical. DTZ currently has the technically capable and fully cleared personnel to meet both the cutting edge technology requirements, as well as the significant security requirements defined by the FBI. They will continue to provide mission critical services, and non-mission critical services, such as techical and clerical support, shredder services, barriers/gates/turnstiles-process controls, asset management, condition assesment, inventories and warranty updates, and other OCD's. This extension will be performed under the same terms and conditions as the existing contract. The contract type is firm fixed-pricie. The extension will provide for continuation of uninterrupted services to the TSC facility. This extension of services for six (6) months, from 3/27-9/26/15,is accomplished pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements" as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Not extending the current contract would cause serious injury to the Government. It is the intent of the Government to fully compete this requirement in FY 2015, so this extension is to provide uninterrupted operation and support of the facility until a new contract can be competitively awarded. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Not awarding this extension would cause serious harm to the Government. However, the Government will consider responses from all responsible sources received by the date and time identified above. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement in the timeframe required. Any responses will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of the sole source extension described in this notice. As stated herein, this is a six (6) month extension that is required until the Governemnt can issue and award a competitive contract the 4th quarter of FY2015. The competitive RFP should be issued for these support services within the next three (3) months.
