About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 22 electron tubes (NSN 7R-5960-016415493-XE) with Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 006, referenced by number L-6155. The procurement will be conducted under FAR 6.302-1, which allows negotiation with a single source, though all responsible sources may express interest in responding to the requirement. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date (until April 14, 2025) to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements. The government will consider all proposals received within this timeframe and retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the contract. Potential vendors can obtain necessary specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via the Document Automation and Production Service, with multiple access methods including online downloads, website ordering, or direct contact with their help desk.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside for this contract, and the procurement is not being conducted under FAR Part 12 for commercial items. Delivery of the electron tubes is specified as FOB Origin, with early and incremental deliveries being acceptable. While no specific award value is mentioned, the quantity of 22 units suggests a focused, specialized procurement. Potential vendors interested in providing commercial items have a 15-day window to identify their capabilities to the contracting officer. The government's approach suggests a targeted acquisition with potential for direct source selection, emphasizing technical specificity and precise matching of equipment requirements. Interested parties are advised that the government's acceptance of a proposal would constitute a bilateral agreement for contract issuance through various means including mail, facsimile, or electronic commerce methods.
