About this opportunity

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Armstrong Flight Research Center awarded a contract to conduct an Electrified Aircraft Propulsion System Risk Reduction Demonstration to define requirements and reduce risks for promising electric aircraft propulsion concepts. The purpose of the demonstration is to establish the technical approach, schedule, risks, and estimated costs for potential future unmanned aircraft system flight tests that advance the agency's goals for ultra efficient subsonic transport. The solicitation involves developing system specifications and performing risk reduction activities over a six-month period to support defining procurement strategies for possible future unmanned X-plane demonstrations.
