About this opportunity
The National Science Foundation seeks proposals through its Broad Agency Announcement to improve the agency's analytic capacity by utilizing machine learning techniques to analyze the NSF's portfolio of investments by characteristics such as broader impacts, climate change, SARS-CoV-2, and COVID-19. Proposals are due within 45 days of the announcement from for-profit businesses, universities, and other institutions of higher education and their partners, and will be evaluated based on technical merit, responsiveness to research priorities, and cost.
There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. Awards of up to $500,000 for one to two years will be made available from the total $1,000,000 allocated through the program. Research must be conducted within the United States and its territories, with the place of performance at the National Science Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia. The work is covered under NAICS code 541712 to support the NSF's strategic objectives of understanding characteristics of its current climate change and pandemic-related investment portfolios.
