About this opportunity

The U.S. Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is conducting market research to identify potential sources for a disc brake spares procurement for the C-130 aircraft (NSN 1650-00-626-5729, P/N 695422-11), with responses due by August 12, 2026. This is a sources-sought effort, not a formal solicitation; no contract award will result from responses submitted, and no funds are currently available.

The Government seeks to determine whether the requirement can be competed or designated as a Small Business Set-Aside and may break the requirement out by airframe. Work is performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Estimated spares requirement is 8 units with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 12. This is a new manufacture spares buy with no repair requirement; unit prices will be established at contract award. Prospective sources must furnish all labor, materials, facilities, and equipment, including component procurement, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping. Sources may also assume responsibility for supply chain management, logistics planning, production forecasting, long-lead parts procurement, and mitigation of diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages. Prospective sources may incur nonrecurring engineering costs to achieve supplier approval.

NAICS code 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) applies, with a 1,250-employee size standard. The Government welcomes responses from large businesses, small businesses, 8(a) firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone businesses, and women-owned small businesses. Interested parties must select "Add Me to Interested Vendors" to participate. Prospective sources should prepare Source Approval Request (SAR) packages and technical data for submission through DoD SAFE, including company information, CAGE code, business classification status, and UEI.
