About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior's Office of the Chief Information Officer seeks to procure disaster recovery services to accommodate relocation of its data center operations and staff to an alternate site in the event of a catastrophic event. The RFI provides a draft statement of work outlining requirements for an IBM mainframe, hot site facilities, 38 terabytes of storage, connectivity options, and technical support. Respondents must confirm their ability to meet the technical requirements on the statement of work and indicate interest in a future formal solicitation. Responses to the RFI are due by November 2, 2023 and should be submitted to the identified contracting officer and contract specialist.
The solicitation contains no set-aside designations and will use NAICS code 541511 for computer systems design services and PSC code D304 for automated data processing equipment maintenance and repair services. The draft statement of work requires the contractor to maintain hot site facilities available for two recovery exercises per year totaling 96 hours or more if optional hours are used. Current disaster recovery services are provided through an existing contractor.
