About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to repair 4 circuit card assemblies (NSN 7H-5998-012249954) under a non-competitive procurement strategy. The government does not own the technical data rights for these specific electronic components and has determined that purchasing or reverse engineering the data would be uneconomical. The agency intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may express interest in responding to the requirement within 45 days of the synopsis publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). Interested parties can obtain relevant military and federal specifications through the DoD Single Stock Point's Document Automation and Production Service, with most documents available through ASSIST-Online. The government will consider proposals received within the specified timeframe, but retains sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
This pre-solicitation notice does not involve a specific set-aside designation and does not indicate a predetermined award value. The procurement is specifically for repair of the existing circuit card assemblies, with replacement or new procurement explicitly excluded from consideration. The delivery will be FOB Origin, and the reference number for this procurement is 63D704505G2. While the government is not using FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition, interested parties can still identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of the notice. The current procurement is time-bounded, with a due date of April 16, 2025, providing potential contractors a substantial window to respond to the opportunity. The specific product falls under PSC Category 5998-P, which covers electrical and electronic assemblies, boards, cards, and associated hardware.
