About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure 13 combustion chamber cases for the F100 engine, with a potential range of 4 to 23 units. The pre-solicitation notice indicates these are precision replacement parts made from 5662 Nickel Alloy, with specific dimensional requirements of 24.9240 length, 24.9240 width, and 6.9200 height. Qualification requirements do exist for this procurement, and the solicitation will be conducted electronically through SAM.gov. The evaluation will consider both price and past performance factors, with price being a significant component of the assessment. Interested parties have until March 8, 2025, to respond to the notice, and written quotation requests will be issued subsequently. An Ombudsman is available at (405) 855-3556 to address contractor concerns during the proposal development phase.

The contract is not set aside for any specific business category, and Raytheon Technologies Corporation is currently identified as a qualified source. The anticipated contract award is planned for 60 days after the notice issuance, with a required delivery of 25 units starting on or before September 30, 2026. The procurement is being conducted under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), which allows for solicitation from a limited number of sources. The estimated unit will weigh 44 pounds and is specifically for the compressor case component. Export control requirements are applicable, and unique identification (UID) requirements will be mandatory if the unit price exceeds $5,000. The government's contract obligation remains contingent on the availability of appropriated funds, and all responsible sources may submit capability statements or proposals for consideration.
