About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 10 units of NSN 3H-1398-001906719, which appears to be a specialized weapons carrier system with Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 019. The solicitation is structured as a pre-solicitation notice with a full and open competition approach, indicating potential opportunities for multiple vendors. Interested parties have until March 14, 2025, to express their capability to meet the government's requirement, with a specific 15-day window to identify potential commercial item solutions. The government has confirmed complete rights to the technical data package and no manufacturing restrictions exist. Qualification requirements will be a critical evaluation criteria, with award contingent upon the offeror, product, and manufacturer meeting specific qualification standards as outlined in FAR clause 52.209-1.

This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, which means only small businesses are eligible to compete for the contract. The procurement is categorized under Product Service Code (PSC) 1398-P for Specialized Ammunition Handling and Servicing Equipment. While specific award value is not disclosed, the procurement involves a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement, with final destination to be furnished upon request. Potential vendors can obtain necessary documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at Document Automation and Production Service, with multiple access methods including online platforms like ASSIST-Online and direct contact methods. The solicitation suggests the government will conduct thorough market research to ensure the most suitable and qualified small business is selected for this specialized equipment procurement.
