About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking repair or modification services for a camera system identified by NSN 7H-6720-016148834. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the government's intent to negotiate with only one source for this single unit procurement, delivered FOB Origin. The contracting agency has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, which limits competitive sourcing options. Interested parties may submit quotes or express their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, with all submissions being considered prior to the award date. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received, and all firms must include their Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code on solicitation requests.

This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designation and no incumbent contractors or potential award values are specified in the notice. The procurement involves a quantity of one unit with delivery terms FOB Origin, though specific timeline requirements for service completion are not detailed. The solicitation response deadline is September 29, 2025, providing interested contractors with approximately six weeks from the August 12, 2025 posting date to submit their responses. Military and federal specifications, standards, and related documentation are available through the DoD Single Stock Point and ASSIST-Online portal for parties requiring technical reference materials. The sole-source nature of this procurement suggests limited competition due to proprietary technical requirements or specialized capabilities needed for this camera system repair or modification work.
