About this opportunity
Defense Logistics Agency Aviation intends to solicit bottle oxygen aircraft components under a sole-source procurement, with a response deadline of October 19, 2026. The requirement is restricted to Government-approved sources only; unapproved sources must submit source-approval documentation concurrent with their proposal.
The procurement covers 68 units of NSN 7R-1680-016432918-V2, delivery FOB origin. The item is flight-critical and qualifies as a controlled or selected item under DoD-STD-100, meaning suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to support competition among multiple sources. Government source approval is mandatory prior to contract award. The time required to approve a new source is such that award cannot be delayed pending that approval.
Only Government-previously-approved sources have been solicited. Unapproved sources seeking consideration must submit source-approval information per NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) guidance available at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/NAVSUP-Enterprise/NAVSUP-Weapon-Systems-Support/Business-Opps/. Documentation requirements include technical data demonstrating the company's production experience with the same or similar item, or evidence of prior manufacture if applicable. If a source-approval request is already under NAVSUP WSS evaluation, the offeror must include a copy of the cover letter forwarding that request.
