About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure 59 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) for the V-22 platform through a firm-fixed-price contract. The solicitation, planned for release on March 6, 2025, will primarily target Bell Textron Inc. (CAGE 97499) as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), but will also consider responses from other potential suppliers. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and may be required to submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) through DoDSafe to demonstrate product equivalency. The final contract award will be based on a combination of factors including price, past performance, and other evaluation criteria specified in the full solicitation. Interested parties must submit their responses by March 14, 2025, with an anticipated contract award date of July 31, 2025.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations and welcomes responses from both the OEM and surplus dealers. Surplus dealers must provide a completed surplus certificate or adequate traceability documentation to prove product acceptability. While specific contract value details are not disclosed, the procurement involves 59 aircraft parts including wiring harnesses, structural panels, tube assemblies, electrical components, and mechanical parts. The government reserves the right to alter the acquisition strategy if purchasing existing surplus or newly manufactured inventory proves more advantageous. Potential vendors, including non-OEM sources, are encouraged to identify their items of interest, available quantities, and pricing, with the understanding that government source approval is required prior to contract award.
