About this opportunity

This notice announces a draft solicitation from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health seeking proposals for its Antigens Predicted for Broad Viral Efficacy through Computational Experimentation program. The program aims to develop broadly protective vaccines against viral genera through computational design of consensus antigens, high-throughput experimentation, and predictive modeling. Multiple awards will be made across three technical areas - experimental antigen characterization, protein structure prediction and design, and translational development. Proposals are due by December 1, 2023 and may address all technical areas or solely focus on protein modeling and design.

There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. The solicitation involves research in microbiology, computational biology and vaccinology over five years in two phases, determining protein structures, developing predictive models, iteratively designing vaccine candidates and clinically evaluating results. Successful proposals must demonstrate genus-level protection in preclinical models and progress to Phase I human trials. ARPA-H will host a Proposers' Day on November 17, 2023 for interested parties to register by November 9, 2023 to foster collaboration.
