About this opportunity
Air Mobility Command is hosting a Summer Industry Preview on August 18–19, 2026 at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas to identify industry solutions addressing five critical capability gaps for Mission Support Teams operating in degraded and contested environments. This is an informational event only; no solicitation or funding is currently available.
AMC seeks industry demonstrations and briefings on capabilities addressing tanker mission support gaps: main operating base infrastructure hardening and mobile electromagnetic pulse protection systems compliant with MIL-STD-188-125-1, MIL-STD-188-125-2, MIL-STD-461G/464C, and MIL-S-901D/MIL-STD-810H standards; sustained combat operations in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear contaminated environments per MIL-STD-810H Method 504.3, MIL-STD-3056, MIL-HDBK-355, and AEP-57; survivable, anti-jam communications systems providing interoperable airborne and ground beyond/line-of-sight capabilities through electronic warfare and satellite-denied environments per MIL-STD-188-141D, MIL-STD-810H, DoDI 8500.01, and NATO STANAG standards; integrated counter-small unmanned aerial systems and multi-domain perimeter defense with 360-degree detection and layered response per MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-1472H, and DoD Joint C-sUAS Office guidelines; and organic tactical logistics solutions for rapid cargo handling in austere environments per MIL-STD-209K, MIL-STD-1791C, MIL-STD-810H, and SAE AS33021.

Air Mobility Command's (AMC) Summer Industry Preview (SIP) will be hosted by McConnell AFB's 22nd Air Refueling Wing, Witchita, KS, 18-19 August 2026.
The primary objective for this year's SIP is dedicated to enhancing the Air Force's deterrence capabilities, highlighting the vital role of Mission Support Teams (MSTs). MSTs provide critical services to enable AMC's key mission. These teams are comprised of multiple Air Force disciplines and specialties that must operate effectively in a range of situations to include possible chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear environments. MSTs require equipment that enhances their ability to accelerate mission completion, operate support aircraft in degraded and contested environments, conduct complex mission planning, streamline aircraft maintenance and modifications, and numerous other critical functions. Please see attached capabilities statement for more information.
