About this opportunity

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Communications Branch has issued a Special Notice to announce its intent to award a sole source contract to BIOMARK LLC for the purchase of passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags. This contract will be awarded under the authority of FAR subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and (ii) for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold.

The purpose of this sole source award is to obtain PIT tags that can be inserted into endangered fish for unique identification during hatchery operations and post-release monitoring. The PIT tags will allow the agency to track the movement and spawning of these specific fish individuals. The agency is providing notice of this intent and instructions for any other interested parties to submit a statement of capabilities by April 5, 2024, demonstrating that they can meet the requirement and that competition would be advantageous to the government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334511 and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 7G22. Any costs associated with preparing and submitting a response will not be reimbursed by the government.
