About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation is conducting market research to identify potential sources for manufacturing a Bladder Assembly (NSN: 1680-015753324) for Black Hawk UH-60A helicopters. The agency is seeking manufacturers capable of producing 28 units annually, with comprehensive responsibilities including component part procurement, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping. Potential contractors must demonstrate robust capabilities in supply chain management, logistics planning, production forecasting, and addressing manufacturing source challenges. The evaluation will focus on organizational capacity to provide services consistent with the requirement, secure necessary financial and technical resources, implement effective project management, and meet tight program schedules. Interested parties are invited to submit capability statements by April 1st, 2025 at 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, with submissions to be emailed directly to Calvin Peterson.
The current procurement has no specific small business set-aside, though the agency indicates the requirement may be set aside for small businesses or proceed through full and open competition, with potential for multiple awards. While unit prices have not been established, the solicitation suggests a comprehensive manufacturing contract with significant operational complexity. The performance location will be 6002 Strathmore Rd in Richmond, Virginia, and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this opportunity is 336413, which corresponds to Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing.
