About this file
This document is a detailed slip-in specifications document from the Ohio Division of Forestry outlining technical requirements for a specialized firefighting water tank and pump unit. The specifications are intended for potential manufacturers or suppliers who would provide this equipment specifically for forestry and firefighting purposes in Ohio.
The specifications require a comprehensive firefighting slip-in unit featuring a 200-gallon polypropylene tank with specific dimensional and material requirements, a 13hp Honda motor, and a pump system capable of producing 360 psi and 95 gpm. Key components include a Hannay Electric Rewind Hose Reel with 100 feet of 1" lightweight booster hose, a control panel with multiple monitoring and operational features, stainless steel plumbing, and a one-year warranty. The unit must be manufactured in the USA, and the successful bidder will need to submit blueprints for approval prior to construction. The final product is to be delivered to Zaleski State Forest in McArthur, Ohio, with the manufacturer expected to be an authorized factory distributor to ensure timely parts availability.
