About this file
This document is a Request for Waiver Pursuant to Executive Order 2019-12D for a contract between Sprout Social and the state of Ohio's Department of Administrative Services (DAS). The waiver is being submitted by the agency's Communication team, specifically the Deputy Director of Communication, and involves a social media management platform for public sector use. The document was processed and approved by various state officials, including the Agency Procurement Officer, Agency CIO, and Director, with final approval from DAS on 3/11/2025.
The contract covers a social media management solution for the public sector, with a term from 3/15/2025 to 6/30/2027. Sprout Social will provide a comprehensive platform enabling content publishing, audience engagement, and performance analytics across multiple social media accounts. The service will be hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States, with potential international support staff. The platform offers features including a Smart Inbox for message management, an Asset Library for content sharing, and workflow approval tools. Notably, Sprout Social confirmed that only publicly available state data will be accessed, and the service will operate on a "follow the sun" support model.
