1. Is the existing fuel tank double-walled? If not, we believe it does not meet current code. If the existing is to remain as-is, please confirm. The system must comply with code.
The fuel tank will not be replaced at this time.
2. Spec Section 11211, Paragraph 3.2 discusses concrete for equipment pads (housekeeping pads).
The existing concrete pad supporting the motor appeared structurally sound, but without removing the motor and cleaning it, confirmation of integrity cannot be completed. Is the specification section intended to direct replacement of the existing equipment housekeeping pad(s)?
Assume existing concrete pad supporting the motor in good structural integrity for project if no degradation evidence was present in site visit. If pad does need to be replaced this section is intended to direct replacement.
3. Spec Section 01011, Paragraph 1.02.B.i states the fire suppression pump shall comply with base standards in Attachment 3. The SOW file we received does not include an Attachment 3. Would you provide attachment 3?

4. Spec Section 01011, Paragraph 1.02.B.ii states the hot water heater design is based on: Aerco Model B+04-1.25EC/SS Water Wizard Packaged Heater with Standard Options and Accessories. We believe the contract requires electronic controls. Does the contract require the Aerco digital mixing station (AMDS), a domestic water storage tank or a communications gateway?
Yes if required for proper installation of system but no if existing system is sufficient for proper operations.
5. During the site visit, some discussion related to the Monaco fire alarm system. Is the entire system to be replaced per specification 16721?
Yes if required for certification and connection.
Sections 2 and 3 of the specification identify all components for a complete fire alarm detection and notification system. The JA states only a new fire pump control and panel are required.
6. Are manufacturer representatives required to be in attendance for start-up and/or commissioning of equipment items?
No unless required for certification.
7. Is a commissioning process required for the equipment?
Yes
