Questions & Answers for W9132T23Q0013 As of 1 May 2023
Question 1: Will the end user need any slicing software or do they already have this currently in use on their KuKa robotic arm?
Answer 1: No, we do not need slicing software
Question 2: What is the max capacity of material the end user is hoping to keep in the hopper and have ready to print with one single print run? In other words, the amount of material that can be loaded is the limit to how large of a print can be run on a single job.
Answer 2: Ideally the material hoppers can be refilled continuously, even during a print. If a number had to be specified, 2-3 cubic feet would suffice.
Question 3: Are there any space restrictions at the end user's location for the hopper and feeding system? We would be able to accommodate whatever those restrictions are and adjust the dimensions of the hopper, but these were not listed as parameters in the solicitation.
Answer 3: We have a large amount of space available.
Question 4: Does the end user need a print bed (build plate) or do they already have one onsite? If they already have one, is temperature controlled? Most of the materials listed on the solicitation will need a temperature controlled bed for best results from the material properties.
Answer 4: We do not need a print bed; we have one onsite with the necessary capabilities.
Question 5: Does the end user want the extruder to be controlled separately from the robotic arm system or do they need a fully integrated solution so that prints can be fully controlled from the KuKa software?
Answer 5: Integrations services are not required under this contract, will be performed by the end user.
