Q1: CLIN 0001 states the FPI System is Class A: Unpowered tanks, but it is requested that the Pen, Emuls and Post Rinse stations are to have pneumatically powered lowerators. Class A tanks are to have a slotted grille. Class B calls for a roller surface.

Do you want the lowerator station to have a slotted grille or rollers?

· Roller grille. Purchase description updated.

Q2: CLIN 0001 states the FPI System is to be size 4 and to have the system be between 45', not to exceed 50'.

Per MIL-PRF-32531 a size 4 PT-48S (short), all frames are to be 48"L x 34"W x 36"H, except the drain and rest stations are to be 24"L to reduce system length (para 3.4.7).

Eight stations at 4'L plus three stations at 2'L only equals 38'L.

· In this case MIL-PRF-32531 is a minimum specification. The requirements that must be met or exceed are the MIL-PRF-32531, and the ability accept parts at least 30 inches in length at all stations (Bullet #4 on CLIN 0001). A 24 inch rest station and or drain station would not meet this requirement.

Q3: CLIN 0001 states #11 Inspection Station is to have a handheld UV lamp with a min. of 5,000 micro watts/cm squared at 15" MIL-PRF-32531, para 3.9 Blacklights, mercury-vapor blacklights are to be used unless otherwise specified.

LED UV blacklights are not specified. Looks to be out dated wording, please specify if and where you want LED UV blacklights (handheld and/or ceiling mounted).

· Purchase Description updated to clarify LED lights, as Mercury-Vapor black lights are no longer considered the market standard.

Q4: CLIN 0001: No mention of supplying stainless steel baskets.

MIL-PRF-32531 para 3.10 calls for 6 stainless steel baskets.

Should we include the six baskets?

Would they be part of CLIN 0001 or would they be CLIN 0002?

· There is only one CLIN on this request for quote. Baskets will need to be included to meet MIL-PRF-32351

Q5: CLIN 0001: No mention of supplying aluminum trays.

MIL-PRF-32531 para 3.11 calls for a total of four trays, Should we include the four trays?

Would they be part of CLIN 0001 or would they be CLIN 0003?

· There is only one CLIN on this request for quote. Trays will need to be included to meet MIL-PRF-32351

Q6: CLIN 0001: No mention of paper and electronic manuals. MIL-PRF-32531 para 6.3 calls for paper and electronic manuals. How many of each? Would they be part of CLIN 0001 or would they be CLIN 0004?

· There is only one CLIN on this request for quote. To meet the requirement listed in MIL-PRF-32531 A, meaning one, paper and electronic copy of the installation (including minimum utility requirements and procedures to change input voltage), operation, and maintenance instructions, and an Illustrated Parts Breakdown will need to be provided upon delivery of product.

Q7: The government website listing this solicitation still has a submittal date of September 12th, 5:00 PM CT.

Has the submittal date been extended?

· Yes, the response deadline for this request for quote is now Sep 17, 2019 10:00am central. The response deadline was updated and can be viewed though the Modification to the Base RFQ. Link: https://www.fbo.gov/notices/d7a7d4a688cad3db53a5d8da4c14d829
