SCOPE OF WORK

Missouri Air National Guard – 139th LRS, Building 52

1. PROJECT DATA:

TITLE: Purchase and install three (3) Vertical Carousels

BUILDING/FACILITY: 139th LRS, Building 52

PROJECT DURATION: 120-150 days

Manfucaturer: Kardex Remstar P/N: MEG RS 350.1.2450.6.343.14 or Approved Equal

2. GENERAL SCOPE:

The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials and equipment to purchase and install three (3) new replacement Vertical Carousels to support this requirement. The contractor shall install the Vertical Carousel systems at the Missouri Air National Guard, 139th LRS, Building 52. The end user is responsible for providing electrical power to the unit. The end user will provide final electrical hookup connections from the unit motor to the electrical disconnect.

3. DETAILED REQUIREMENTS (Vertical Carousels):

· Vertical Carousel must be of Ergonomic Design

· Vertical Carousels must come equipped with an Emergency Power Crank for access to parts in case of power outage.

· All Vertical Carousels shall come with a lifetime warranty of the motor to assure years of reliable usage. All other components shall carry a minimum 2 year warranty, including transportation, parts and labor.

· Vertical Carousels shall come equipped with a stainless steel table surface at a standing position.

· Vertical Carousel shall have an imbalance indicator located on the operator station display that will alert the operator to any imbalance load.

· Vertical Carousels shall come equipped with a lockable lightweight one piece sliding door. The self-counterbalanced sliding door must be opened and closed manually with one person. Two-piece sliding doors without counterbalance are not acceptable.

· Vertical Carousels must have Safety Security System

· Vertical Carousels shall come equipped with finger protection safety buffer at rear of posting board.

· Vertical Carousels must come with transport rollers for fast and easy repositioning in the case of internal moves, providing flexibility for unit repositioning with minimum downtime due to tear down and reinstallation costs.

· Vertical Carousels must have a standard manual override that can be operated with the door open, so parts can be located using manual movement to locate items, without having to know what carrier the part is stored on.

4. DETAILED CONTROLLER REQUIREMENTS:

· Unit controller must give the customer the ability to create users with different rights and abilities based on their passcode protected login.

· Unit controller must have touch screen capability.

· Unit controller must have an on-board database.

· Unit controller support must be included in the price of the contract for the first 2 years.

5. DETAILED VENDOR REQUIREMENTS:

· Contractor services shall be offered through an office that has 48-hour turn-around time and must be assured and guaranteed on all requests for service. The installation and service must be performed by factory trained and authorized qualified individuals.

· Contractor must include Preventive Maintenance Services every 6 months for the duration of the 2 year warranty period in the price of the contract for the equipment.

· The contactor must ensure the equipment complies with DIN EN 15095 “Power-operated mobile racking and shelving, carousels and storage lifts” and has been tested and certified by TÜV (Technical Observation & Control), a USA NRTL and a Canadian CB.

· The manufacture must be certified ISO 9001.

· The manufacture must be certified ISO 14001.

6. OVERALL EQUIPMENT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Replacement Vertical Carousels Minimum Requirements:

· Maximum unit height – 11 Ft.

· Minimum Cubic Storage per Unit: 200 ft³

· Minimum Load Capacity per Unit: 9500 lb.

· Maximum Imbalance Load: 2500 lb.

· Power Supply: 3/PE 208V (50/60 Hz)

· Rated Operating Current: 13.3 A

· Motor Power: Minimum 2.5 HP; 2.2 kW, Must be adequate for loaded unit

· Fuse Protection: 20 A t

· Power Consumption: 4.8 kVA

· Controller Location: End Frame, Right Side

· E‐Stop Location: (1) per Side Panel (2 Total)

· Table Height: Minimum 36” / Maximum 42”

· Door Type: Manual

· Carriers per Unit: Minimum of fourteen (14) Multipurpose Carriers

· Minimum Fourteen (14) carriers include 0.25 in. front lip (minimum) and one (1) reinforced shelf minimum 5.5 in height.

· Carrier Clear Width: Minimum 90 in.

· Carrier Clear Depth: Minimum 22 in.

· Carrier Capacity (Minimum): 700 lbs.

· Each unit will include minimum of 333 hard molded totes 4” high each with 2 dividers, totes are 24”d x 8”w x 4”h

· Total molded totes provided to be 1,000

· Provide 2,000 dividers for totes
